Beer Overview

West Latitude
Session Rye with Hibiscus
West Latitude combines our Californian Left Coast love of fruity hops with a touch of Hawaiian “aloha” from the addition of hibiscus flowers, all anchored by robust malts and spicy rye. This session beer is light in body but looms large, like the long shadows of a westward setting sun.

NorCal Collaborators

I decided to assemble a band of wildcard brewers to brew a beer that represents each of us. (Somehow the NorCal group got Hawaii in there. Hey, we’re not here for geography lessons!) We met at Sierra’s Mills River brewery and were handed a list of malts and hops with a simple, "together, we can do anything you want." Our band of pirates started throwing out ideas over beers. Then we had some more beers—and then a few more—and landed on our style.

We chose to serenade rather than scream our song with a balanced red ale brewed with hibiscus and rye. We feel our beer represents the culture and flair that can be found across our team. We are honored to share our beer with you!
